A new season is all set to begin in Sky: Children of the Light. Season of Radiance starts January 20 and introduces an even greater pop of color to the game's already artistic world.
The upcoming prismatic season channels the vivid spectrum of the rainbow and offers a new feature where Sky kids can use dyes to customize the colors of new and existing cosmetics. The brand-new Dye Workshop in Aviary Village for example has players meet the Radiance Guide to learn the ins and outs of finding and working with dyes.
The Dyeing Cosmetics feature let players transform their ensemble into unique creations. Throughout the Season of Radiance, there are eight different base colors to be available and players to gather from special Dark Plants in the realms. Note that some colors are going to be more common than others. Players can use these base colors as their own dye, or mix them to create a total of more than 70 colors.
At the start of the new season, most capes, masks, and outfits are going to have dyeable areas. Items in other categories such as head and neck accessories are planned to become dyeable in an upcoming update. There are cosmetics that won't be dyeable that include the likes of hair color, Season pendants, and collaboration items, to name a few.
This new feature also allows players to preview color combinations before dyeing a cosmetic. In addition, as much as two different dyed versions of an item can be saved for players to wear as "Outfit Styles: in addition to the original version.
Other highlights of the new season to look forward to are:
- Venture Through the Realms: A new type of Dark Plant sprouts in the kingdom, with each yielding a different color of Light that can be forged into dyes.
- Colorful Choices: Not only can dyes add vibrant reds, greens, yellows and more, but they can also be mixed to create tons of unique colors to choose from.
- Experimental Outfits: With each Seasonal Quest, new colors become available for players to add their own personal flair to their favorite fits – from peaceful pastels to brooding dark tones.
- New Seasonal Content: Season Spirits bring with them fresh hairstyles, outfits, capes, an instrument and more – all of which can be kept in their original colors or dyed however players please.
