Last year Dreamlit officially revealed its first even title Towers of Aghasba. The game invites players to explore an open world that's filled with majestic creatures and quirky characters. Early this week, the studio announced that the game is launching in Early Access this November.
The game is set in Aghasba, homeland of the Shimu tribe. It was 50 years ago when members of the tribe fled the land as a result of the invasion of a mysterious forces known as the Withered. While the land has indeed been devastated, the Shimu has returned and now want to reclaim their home and rebuild their civilization. Players take on the role of a junior architect who's been tasked to rebuild the village of the once-mighty civilization.
Taking the First Step
Now the first step in rebuilding the civilization is to establish the villages. These villages serve as the settlements for the Shimu and lays the foundation for players to construct more advanced structures. Depending on the biome that the village marker is placed, it results in a different village being established. This results in different kinds of structure being constructed.
Bringing Back the Ecosystem
The main challenge is that since Aghasba has been devastated, it has become devoid of life. To expand across the island, players need to obtain resources. To do that, they'll have to restore the ecosystems of Aghasba. It begins by planting special seeds known as "Colossal Seeds." With this, they can create an ecosystem of different flora and fauna. Just remember that different biomes result in different ecosystems and each one has its own unique sets of creatures and plant life.
Once the ecosystem is in place, it’s not going to be enough. Players need to find a way to balance between the expansion of the villages and the growth of the ecosystem. This is an important part when it comes to the core gameplay.
As players harvest the resources provided by the ecosystem to build up the villages, players should also grow plants and feed creatures within the ecosystems to make sure that it continues to thrive.
