A Demo of Chrono Sword to be Available at Tokyo Game Show 2024

Developer 21c.Ducks announced that a demo version of Chrono Sword is going to be accessible during the Tokyo Game Show 2024. While a demo of the game had been made available previously, this one is going to be a bit different. That's because there's a lot of new improvements made that players get to experience.

The studio went on to say in a statement that this newly released build is indeed different from what was released before. The studio hopes that this should get some attention from those attending the convention.

Meanwhile, publisher CFK unveiled a new key art for the game. This shows players for the first time the two playable characters that's going to lead them through the game's story. The new key art also shows us the desperate struggle that the characters face as they go on a quest to prevent the world from being destroyed. This key art is also set to be featured at the Happinet booth in the convention as a large poster. You can view the new art here.

CFK also revealed that a subreddit for Chrono Sword has been created. This is to open up communications with the many fans from around the world. CFK expects this Reddit page to serve as the hub for community activities along with being the home to the exchange of all sorts of opinions regarding the game. Check out the subreddit here.

Chrono Sword offers is a new take on the Souls-like genre by using pixel art and a quarter-view perspective rather than the typical full 3D action RPGs that’s often seen on the market. The game was first revealed back in 2019 and since then has managed to garner a good deal of interest not only in Korea but also in other part of the world. It was chosen as the first game in the collaboration between Kickstarter and Game Round. Since launching on the crowdfunding site, the game has managed to raise more than $70,000.

Chrono Sword is a souls-like action RPG that’s set within a vast world with players needing to travel between the past and future to learn more about the secrets that’s hiding under the world's surface. Wishlist the game on Steam now.
