A Free Demo of Dungeons & Kingdoms is Coming Soon to Steam

Uncle Grouch Gaming announced that the first public free demo of Dungeons & Kingdoms is coming soon to Steam. It's going to be part of the platforms' City Builder & Colony Sim Fest. This upcoming medieval fantasy kingdom builder also has the features of management sim and even dungeon crawler RPG.

For the upcoming demo in particular, players can look forward to features that include Kingdom Building, Villager Management, one ARPG Dungeon Dive, and Loot and 1st Major Upgrade. It's worth noting though that these are going to be limited for the demo.

Demo Delayed

While the game is developed by Uncle Grouch Gaming, in reality it's a solo dev project. The developer had previously announced that an early access release was planned for this year. In addition, it was revealed through a post back in February that a demo was set to come out in the same month. However, the feedback from the Beta testers suggested that more time was needed to develop the game.

With this latest announcement, loyal followers of the game should be excited.

A Different Experience

Dungeons & Kingdoms is a medieval fantasy strategy with RPG elements mixed in. It has some features that make it unique from other titles in the genre. These include:

Stylized, mid-poly graphics

Deep building customization

Terrain manipulation (build moats, elevated strong points, etc.)

Unique settler management mechanics

Players also get to experience Rewarding ARPG dungeon crawling to battle fierce monsters, loot unique resources and tech up for new kingdom upgrades.

A New World & New Life

Players get to take on the role of a leader of a small group of refugees who are fleeing from an unlivable homeland. They make landfall in a new world and start a new life. They can build everything themselves or lay down blueprints and give orders to their loyal colonists. Aside from building infrastructure, they also have to manage needs, gather resources, farm crops, and hunt wild animals. Basically, do whatever it takes to survive.

System Requirements

For those excited about the upcoming demo, the minimum requirements for the PC are:
