A Hidden Truth Rises as Dia Awakens in The First Descendant

The upcoming episode for The First Descendant is all set to introduce the long-awaited Descendant Dia. She awakens from a long slumber which then sets off a series of events across Albion. It also uncovers the secrets of her past that had long remained hidden.

This new Descendant was first revealed during the developer livestream back in December 2025. Dia is depicted as a skill dealer who fights by summoning a lance. Her character comes with a full roster of new skills and skill modules for players.

One of her skills is "Glacial Clash," which can be used in two different modes. The first one allows her to deal AOE damage with the second one letting her to advance forward while pushing enemies. Another skill is "Glacial Breakthrough," a buff skill that increases Dia’s Defense and Critical Damage Multiplier. It can also increase the breakthrough speed of "Glacial Clash."

Meanwhile, with "Ice Wall" she can summon a slowly advancing avalanche that pulls enemies toward its path. It can hit enemies with "Glacial Clash" during the avalanche and deals extra damage. It allows for an effective combat pattern by grouping enemies with "Ice Wall" and then finishing them with "Glacial Clash."

Then there's "Avalanche," which lets Dia fire a spear that travels forward and deal damage to enemies around its trajectory. When enemies are nearby, the spear travels more slowly and let it deal increased damage as it passes through.

Transcendent Module

Dia joins the game with two Transcendent Modules. The first one is Blooming Ecstasy. What it does is change "Glacial Clash" to "Snowflake Clash." It pulls in collided targets and then apply a 'Snowflake' effect to enemies that explodes immediately upon expiration. Another change is "Frost Storm" becoming "Frost Bloom." It fires a 'Frozen Spire' to create a 'Frost Bloom' at the point of impact. The skill increases in skill power and range according to the charge time.

The second module is Chill Brand. What it does is when attacking with skills, it gives a chance to grant 'Chill Brand' stacks, which increase damage dealt. The 'Chill Brand' skill can then be used to apply these stacks to an enemy, inflicting continuous damage.
