ARK: Survival Evolved Dives Deep to Aquatica on July 15

Publisher Snail Games announced that a new DLC is releasing for ARK: Survival Evolved. ARK: Aquatica introduces players to the first submerged ARK. They'll be challenged with new survival mechanics, extreme environmental hazards, a huge explorable map area, and unique gameplay elements.

This special DLC was designed and created by Studio Sirens to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the game. ARK: Aquatica is available exclusively for PC players of ARK: Survival Evolved starting July 15.

The upcoming expansion has players waking up on "Aquatica," a crash-landed ARK that's been submerged within a vast underwater biome system. It features exotic challenges never before encountered that include extreme environmental hazards, crushing pressures, and rapid currents. There's also a host of extraordinary creatures that await within the mysterious depths.

Aquatica has survivors uncover the potential source of Element and get a peek at what the future holds for those bold enough to endure. This expansion is the first official DLC to tell a non-canonical mythical story while at the same time expanding the ARK universe into new dimensions of survival.

The expansion invites players to capture and tame 21 new creatures that have extraordinary abilities. There are also 74 new Engrams available as survivors obtain access to gear designed for underwater survival. They can also discover 10 new cooking recipes that's been tailored to the aquatic ecosystem.

ARK: Survival Evolved has players wake up on the shores of a mysterious island. They'll need to hunt, harvest resources, craft items, grow crops, research technologies, and build shelters. Players have to use their cunning and resources to kill or tame & breed the leviathan dinosaurs and other primeval creatures that are roaming the land.
