Synthesising System
The game follows the adventures of Yumia Liessfeldt and her companions as try to learn more about the mysteries behind the cataclysm which destroyed the once great continent of Aladiss. As a way to prepare for the upcoming adventure, players rediscover the signature synthesising system of the Atelier franchise which is manipulating “mana” to create those new items useful in combat or exploration. To create more powerful items, players need to master the art of “Resonance Synthesis” which can be done by adding ingredients that resonate with each other to the “Alchemy Core” of the recipe. The strength of the resonance depends on the quality of the ingredients selected.
Combat System
Meanwhile, the combat system has been revamped to offer that intense real-time combat while having intuitive gameplay. The skills available to active team members depend on their distance from the enemy.
Compared to previous titles in the series, players can now move or interchange characters at any time during the fight. When certain conditions are met, a powerful “Friend Action” combo can be released in battle. Then by meeting certain conditions, players can activate “Mana Surge”, which allows for exclusive actions to be performed. That’s not all since each character also have a unique special move known as “Maximize Mana Surge” which deal significant damage on enemies.
Building Feature
While players need to explore the open world of the Aladiss continent, it’s important to remember that they have to build their own bases. With the new “Building” feature, they can now create and decorate their from a wide range of choices of walls, floors, roofs, furniture, and more. They can also choose from a predefined base model from the catalogue. By increasing the “comfort level” of their atelier, players can unlock bonuses like the ability to develop their base and enhance the skills of Yumia and her companions.
