A new demo for the upcoming title Born of Bread is now available. However, this is limited to the Nintendo Switch platform and accessible to only those in the Americas. The game is going to be available on other platforms that include the PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Set to be released on December 5, it offers a home-cooked retro turn-based role-playing adventure which throws back to classic cartoony RPGs that's full of charming stories and fun characters both adults and children can enjoy.
Going back to the demo, players get to try out the first 45-60 minutes of the game. They get introduced to new mechanics like the extensive combat tutorial. Players also learn more about the skill tree and even get to meet their first companion. The full game itself is set to have new zones, allies, NPCs, settings, and sidequests. Players can also look forward to the "Battle Broadcast" system which features a fictitious in-game chat stream during combat encounters.
Born of Bread focuses on an unlikely hero in Loaf. He's a golem born of bread and possesses a never-ending childlike wonder. He and his friends suddenly find themselves in a darma which is thousands of years in the making. In the game, players get to explore a wonderful world that's ripe with mysteries. With the help of his buddies, Loaf gets to fight against the menacing bad guys while also engaging in a fun and quirky turn-based/real-time hybrid combat.
