Square Enix announced that Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince is now available for the PC via Steam. The game is also being released for mobile devices through Android and iOS. In addition to the main story quests, both versions also come with all of the DLC content that was launched as part of the Nintendo Switch Digital Deluxe Edition.
Synthesis Systems
One of the most powerful tools that you have in your arsenal is the newly evolved synthesis system. It allows you to create completely new monsters by combining those that are already on the roster. Players can experiment with more than 500 monsters available to unlock. There are franchise favorites, dark lords, and even new creatures. By the way, there's also the Quickfire Contest, which is an automatic speed match, and let players compete in a single-player challenge mode in 30 consecutive matches.
DLC Content
As mentioned, all the DLC released for the Nintendo Switch Digital Deluxe Edition are going to be released for this new version for free. There's "The Mole Hole," which is a special dungeon containing scout monsters which have been befriended once before. The Mole Hole gives everyone the chance to reunite easily with monsters that only appear during specific seasons or weather conditions. It even have those that can only be obtained through synthesis.
Another DLC is "Coach Joe's Dungeon Gym" which lets you explore the randomly generated dungeons and then fight against legions of powerful monsters. Finally, the "Treasure Trunks" is a mysterious treasure chest that contains exciting rewards that can be opened once every hour letting players to get their hands on some helpful items.
In Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, you get to take on the role of the Demon Prince Psaro. What makes him rather unique is that he's suffering from a curse where he is prevented from harming monsters. Because of this, he has no choice but to become a Monster Wrangler. That means he'll need to recruit and then fight side-by-side with the monsters in different environments across the world of Nadiria. Making the game even more interesting is that as you go on with your adventure, the seasons and landscape are going to regularly cycle through the seasons. This opens new areas while letting players various monsters that are specific to that particular season.
