Deck13 Spotlight and Just2D have recently unveiled new details about their upcoming grim dark Pixel RPG, DROVA - Forsaken Kin. Set in a mystical Celtic world, the game promises to deliver a brutal open-world experience, with a release window edging ever closer. The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer, showcasing the game's unique art style and tantalizing glimpses of gameplay:
The game is set in the foreboding land of Drova, a realm where every man is for himself. Players will have to choose between two factions: one seeking to enslave the spirits of nature, and the other striving to save the spirits and keep the world alive. This choice will undoubtedly shape the course of your journey and the fate of Drova itself.
The newly released trailer also highlights the game's progression system. Christian Sandkämper, Co-Founder of Just2D, states, "One of the core ideas of DROVA has always been that the players have to survive in a world which just hates them. We really want to offer a journey which will make them feel the progression over time, going back to an enemy which murdered them with one strike before and just beating it up!" DROVA - Forsaken Kin is slated for release on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in 2024. It's available for wishlist additions on Steam.
Deck13 Interactive, the team behind DROVA - Forsaken Kin, is one of Germany's leading developers.
