Exciting news for players of Dying Light: The Beast. The game has launched its first-ever crossover and it's with none other than PUBG Mobile. The collab begins October 31 and end November 21.
Now at first glance, it appears that this is a crossover from two different worlds. Dying Light: The Beast for example, features intense and close-up horror which is then combined with unbounded parkour and physical, melee-centric, and physics-based combat. PUBG Mobile meanwhile offers heart-pounding Battle Royale matches full of big shootouts.
In a post, Game Director Nathan Lemaire revealed that what unites these two games "is a singular, powerful focus: survival." The PUBG Mobile team and Techland devs worked closely to bring the true survival-horror spirit of Dying Light into their universe while at the same time weaving the essence of PUBG Mobile back into Dying Light: The Beast.
A Two-way Collaboration
In Dying Light: The Beast, this crossover takes the form of a new quest that unlocks after the main story quest titled "Power Gambit." It starts with a mysterious radio call warning the residents of Castor Woods about Kyle Crane.
At the same time, The Baron starts dropping weapon-filled airdrops into the valley to arm those willing to hunt the players down. As the quest progresses, players can explore several locations across Castor Woods. They also race to reach the drops before the Baron’s forces do. Keep an eye out for surprises along the way especially since some serious rewards are waiting at the end.
Be Part of the Fun
To be part of the collaboration, players need to activate it at the Dying Light Outpost. This results in an Airdrop Finder car skin that can be delivered to the in-game stash once the event starts.
Completing the whole mission chain in-game unlocks a full set of PUBG Mobile-themed items. These include the Marked Man Outfit, Battleground Keychain, and The Frying Pan & Baseball Bat.
Dying Light: The Beast is the latest addition to the Dying Light franchise and puts players into a hair-raising standalone zombie adventure. It’s set within the eerie backdrop of the once-popular tourist destination Castor Woods that’s become a post-apocalyptic area that’s filled with dangers and horrors lurking in the shadows. The story focuses on Kyle Crane, a survivor of initial virus outbreaks and a symbol of selflessness and hope.
Dying Light: The Beast promises an immersive gaming experience that spans exploration, survival horror, and shared multiplayer experiences in a chilling post-apocalyptic world. Get Dying Light: The Beast on Steam now.
