Notorious Studios announced that its debut title Eldegarde is now available on PC via Steam. The game features dynamic fantasy combat and combines it with RPG mechanics.
The launch follows a successful period of the game being in Steam Early Access. During that period it received at least 3,000 Mostly Positive reviews. This also allowed the game to build a dedicated community of players who supplied the development team with invaluable feedback in the lead up to launch.
Eldegarde is a third-person action PvPvE RPG that features unique fantasy classes. Players go on adventures solo or with friends as they search for treasures, level up, and defeat any who stand in their way. Players get to choose between six iconic classic fantasy classes to level up that include Warrior, Rogue, Hunter, Priest, Wizard and Paladin. Each one comes with their own character model, armor, weapons and skills. There are also five unique zones to explore along with as much as 32 different creature encounters.
Other features of the game include:
- PvE Expeditions which start at Goldbrook Farmstead where they hunt down Mor’thog the Cruel, a menace threatening the people of Eldegarde.
- PvPvE Extraction Mode where players can earn greater rewards though it comes with greater risks.
- The fast-paced and skill-based PvP combat of Arena where there is no gear loss with only pride being on the line.
- Build reputation with five key vendors in Stonehaven to unlock exclusive gear, craft recipes, and get rare materials.
- Expand and furnish personal lodge with functional buildings like the Forge, Loom, Tanner, Critter Habitat, and Transmutation Device.
- Complete 17 Campaign questlines that uncover the lore of Eldegarde and reward players with powerful treasures.
- Take on over 110 rotating quests from the Quest Board which are refreshed daily and weekly for endless challenges and rewards.
- Experience seasonal resets that wipe progression and usher in new content, updates, and world-changing events.
In a statement, Notorious Studios Founder Chris Kaleiki revealed that the game is able to raise the bar especially on a lot of stagnant RPG system. These include class design, PvP, combat, and even progression.
