Season 2: Tombs of the Erased is coming out in Last Epoch on April 17. When it goes live, there's going to be a lot of new content for players to enjoy. Launching alongside the new season is an update which expands some of the features already available in the game. One of these are the changes to be implemented for dungeons.
Dungeon Key Inventory
A lot of players have been asking for a keyring as a way to free up Inventory space. In a post, Eleventh Hour Games revealed that they saw how many keys players were saving and it seems that "no one makes keyrings that big. What's going to happen instead is that Keys are going to have their very own space in the Inventory UI, This should free up those valuable gear space in the Stash Tabs. In addition, players should be able to see more easily how many of each Key type they have gained and have available to exchange.
Dungeon Respawn
Another change is on the Dungeon Keys. Once the update is released, players can spend these to respawn in the same Dungeon area where they died, or outside the Boss area if they fell while trying to defeat the Dungeon Boss. For the studio, this should make it easier to gain those Boss drops or even access those unique dungeon mechanics repeatedly. However, its going to be a bit different for Hardcore Players.
Dungeon Key Charms and Vendor
Players can also look forward to the two types of Dungeon Key Charms being added. The first are Portal Charms, which players can exchange using keys at the Black Market Key Trader in Maj’Elka’s Upper District. It allows players to travel directly to the Dungeon Boss with a random set of floor modifiers that's based on the tier of the Dungeon selected. The modifiers apply as if players had fought through each of those floors, but now they can jump straight to the Boss and rewards.
The second type are the Scale Charms which can be obtained through drop from mobs. When used at the entrance to a Dungeon, a Scale Charm greatly increases the amount of loot lizards that spawn during that Dungeon run.
