Here Are the Early Changes Coming to Dune: Awakening

It's been a little over two months since Dune: Awakening came out. Not much has been revealed about what's being worked on for the game. Developer Funcom has released a post sharing plans for this title.

When it comes to a roadmap, there's always the possibility that it's going to be a while before it's released. The development team has revealed the changes to be implemented in the short-term, a lot of which were heavily requested by players.

Improved Player Logging

The team is currently working to improve player logging. According to the team, one of the frustrations that players face is the "lack of information and clarity" when it comes to certain items, objects, or vehicles being gone. To address this issue, they'll be increasing the information in the logs to give players a better idea of what's happening. An example of this would be listing the names of people who take things from chests in the base.

Offline Notifications

Another issue are the offline notifications when it comes to important events. The team shared that they understand not everybody would want to log in to change power or taxes constantly. They'll be creating a notification service that sends players the status of their base through email.

Cobalt Paste/Vehicle Inventory

The team is also adjusting the volume of the infamous cobalt paste while at the same time adding more slots to the Assault Ornithopter vehicle inventory. They'll also be adding a cargo container that can be carried by the Carrier Ornithopter.

Instanced Deep Desert Loot

Another issue faced by players is the constant camping and queuing of the Deep Desert Testing Stations. This has led to a frustrating experience where people arrive at an empty Testing Station. This is going to be changed so that it's more in line with the rest of the game.

Aside from what's already mentioned, there's also a plan to have a vehicle salvaging system that allows players to recover lost vehicles.
