There's a lot of new content being planned for Once Human. One of these seems to be a new PvE Scenario. It's titled as Endless Dream and offers an ever-shifting dreamscape. In this one, players need to hunt down the Original Entity behind the nightmares and awaken the world from its terrible slumber.
Scenario Concept
The new scenario highlights what's known as the Sleeper. Once it manifests, its influence warps the surrounding wilderness into a dreamscape that's full of unpredictable changes. What this means is players may find themselves engulfed in darkness or possibly afflicted with strange vulnerabilities like becoming unusually weak, flammable, or worse explosive.
Meanwhile, the dreamscape transforms Deviants and resources within the world. It changes how players interact with or battle against them. In a post, developer Starry Studio shared that they hope the changes "bring a variety of combinatory changes" not only to exploration but also combat. This ensures that each area and play session comes with new and unexpected experiences.
Scenario Features
The studio also revealed that this upcoming scenario features a fully accessible map. This allows players to explore each region from Broken Delta and all the way to the Ember Strand. Another interesting feature is the dynamic environmental effects. You see, the challenges in the dreamscape constantly evolve in response to the actions of the players.
Players can also enjoy greater freedom. They can use the Construction mode outside the territory and creatively utilize facilities to their advantage. Players should also be happy to know that explorable regions are no longer restricted by the seasonal phase. Instead, seasonal phases advance based on the progress of the players in hunting the Original Entity.
