Early this week, Studio Wildcard released the first ever animated teaser for the upcoming ARK: Lost Colony. This is the next canonical DLC to be released for ARK: Survival Ascended and it comes out in November of this year.
This upcoming expansion drops players into a massive and occupied city that's packed with dangers where they become the hunted. The good news is that they get to obtain powerful new kinds of character abilities, unique gear, building systems, and even exotic tames. Meanwhile, its story serves as the bridge from ARK Extinction to ARK Genesis and all the way into the world of ARK 2.
One of the interesting features you can look forward to with the expansion are the anime sequences. Making things even more fun is that the character Mei Yin is voiced by Michelle Yeoh. The animation itself was done by none other than legendary Japanese studio MAPPA.

The Animated Series
Fans should also be happy to know that the studio has released a preview of a new sequence from the upcoming ARK: The Animated Series Part 2. It focuses on 21st century paleontologist Helena Walker who finds herself resurrected on a mysterious primeval land after tragedy. There she needs to find a way to survive and find new allies. Otherwise, she'll die again at the hands of ruthless warlords. ARK: The Animated Series Part 1 is now available on Paramount +.
ARK: Survival Ascended recreates the ARK world from scratch with the use of the latest Unreal Engine 5 technology. Players are taken to a vibrant and enigmatic island that’s filled with hundreds of dinosaur species and other prehistoric creatures ready to be tamed and bred. The game invites players to form tribes, explore, craft, build, and ascend the food-chain in an all-new world waiting for their discovery.
ARK: Survival Ascended offers the ultimate survival experience as it invites players to design their own Survivor, tame dinosaurs, and unravel the true nature of The Island and worlds beyond.
