A new scenario is in the works in Once Human. Deviation: Survive, Capture, Preserve! is all about a changing world and stranger things that are creeping close. It sees Deviations breaking free from their restraints and letting players encounter them in a more natural and lively state.
In this new world, Deviations can be found in every corner and there's no question that they're actually the ones in charge. There are even Deviations that hide their tracks using special rules. Players need to craft unique capturing items and learn each habit of the Deviations to secure them all.
Once they're free from the Cradle, these Deviations join players as lively companions. Whether in exploration, combat, or territory work, each of the Deviations offer unique abilities that players need to unleash to their full potential. Players can form a team of a maximum of three Deviations. Strategy is everything as they need to mix and match unique traits to come up with battle squads for different situations.
Once the team is ready, they can challenge the NPC-run arenas or even go head-to-head with other Metas in real-time matches. Just remember that the key to victory isn't strength, but the bond with the Deviations.
There are also powerful Chaos Deviations that have strange forms and with it terrifying power. They are the source of troubles in the world. The goal is to uncover their mysteries and secure them for good.
Deviation Fusion
Players can also look forward to the Deviation fusion system. It's planned to be launched in all scenarios after the September 24 update. Players can fuse Deviations with each other, or even with animals and furniture. This should create unique entities with interesting and amusing traits.
Players can fuse two Deviations and the resulting Deviation randomly inherits the type and trait from the source Deviations. The source Deviations are not consumed during fusion though each source Deviation can only be fused once. During fusion, players can also add extra fusion materials that affect the result probabilities or even add new traits.
