Back in January, developer Starry Studio optimized the Lightforge Loot Crate system of Once Human. These were a result of suggestions by the players. Of course, it didn't go without a hitch.
In a post, the studio revealed that the revamped Lightforge Loot Crate system has resulted in the reduction to the cost of obtaining individual rewards. For a lot of players who drew rewards under the previous system, they felt rather "disadvantaged." The good news is that there's going to be compensation to players who opened Lightforge Loot Crates as part of the previous system. The only catch is that this is only for those who opened them from August 15, 2024, to December 19, 2024. Details include:
- For those who obtained 1–4 Lightforge Collection items under the previous system, they can spend 1× Energy Link to redeem 5× Lightforge Ingots.
- For those who obtained 5–9 Lightforge Collection items under the previous system, they can spend 1× Energy Link to redeem 10× Lightforge Ingots.
- For those who obtained 10+ Lightforge Collection items under the previous system, they can spend 1× Energy Link to redeem 1× Lightforge Gem and 10× Lightforge Ingots.
In addition, all players can spend 1× Lightforge Relic to redeem 1× Lightforge Ingot and 1× Lightforge Relic. These benefits are available at the "Lightforge Loot Crate: Frostshade" Redemption Shop until February 26. The studio also said that future paid content is going to have a uniform acquisition method across all platforms to ensure consistent pricing.
