Cheating on video games is not new. Developers like Starry Studio are doing what they can to ensure that there is fair play. Recently, the studio has revealed measures it has implemented on certain issues encountered in the game.
One of these is how players seem to be using vehicles as a way to obstruct passages. In a post, the development team revealed that players now report those vehicles, especially those who are in violation. The thing is, the team admits that there is the possibility the vehicle may have been left accidentally. With this in consideration, the first time it happens, players responsible get a warning through in-game email. However, if that same player has been reported multiple times and determined to be acting maliciously and intentionally, then an appropriate penalty is then issued.
Of course, it won't be enough to implement penalties and that's why the team plans to make some adjustments in the future to make sure that unused vehicles won't become obstructions, especially in the wilderness. One solution being looked into is that unused vehicles, excluding RV, are automatically recalled after a set period. Meanwhile, RVs themselves are going to have demarcated no-parking zones and RV that's left in a no-parking zone are automatically recalled.
Exploiting Bugs
Another issue being looked into are those related to exploiting bugs. One of these are the bugs in the Stronghold Conquest. According to the team, once verified that players have exploited the bug, they're going to get retrospective penalties. In addition, the team is also monitoring closely the Warbands which exploit bugs repeatedly. If needed, restrictions are going to be imposed on the offending Warband which include banning key players from the Stronghold Conquest or, in the most serious cases, forcibly disbanding the Warband.
That said, what do you think about these measures made to ensure fair play?
