Studio Aurum announced that the funding goal for Monster Crown: Sin Eater in Kickstarter has been reached. For a goal of $30,249, it seems that the game has obtained 672 backers with pledges amounting to $37,668. What makes this even more amazing is that the goal was achieved in less than a week.
In a statement, the studio revealed that they thank all of their devoted fans and that the success of the campaign was due to a "dedicated team." With the amount, not only has the game been fully funded but also the team can now work on introducing baby monsters. Reaching the goal has also allowed the studio to offer more stretch goals.
Customized Playthrough
If the funding reaches $44,000, the studio promises to offer additional features to customize the playthrough even further. These include:
- Monster Permadeath: Monsters die forever when they're KO'd.
- Monster Randomizer: All Monster spawns are jumbled. Species and colors can be randomized together or separately.
- Ironman Mode: Subject to Monster Permadeath, locked to Tamer Level 1, no Trading, no Perks.
- New Game Plus: A brand new run through the Crown Nation but playes begin with Tamer Level 20, all perks and all powers.
The Devourer of Souls
Scattered across the Crown Nation are little birds that are called Oco. Players able to collect enough of them can bring forth the great Soul Tree. Exploring this Soul Tree allows players to find the Devourer of Souls, Oukochou. This dungeon can be accessed during the main game of Monster Crown: Sin Eater and included at launch. This content is to be added to the game if the pledges reach $50,000.
A Mysterious Mirror
Once the support breaches $58,88, those who buy the game can look forward to the Shattered Enigma Mirror.
