Netmarble announced the release of a new in-game update for Solo Leveling: ARISE. This new update introduces a new update in the dark-type Assassin Sung Il-Hwan.
Sung Il-Hwan is the father of the main character, Sung Jinwoo. He is considered to be one of the first S-Rank Hunters of Korea though he never enjoyed the privileges of the rank since there wasn't any ranking system at the time. He was trapped inside a dungeon a decade before the main story and was saved by the rulers.
In the game, he shows off his stylish combat skills particularly with dual blades. His “Phantom Slash” ability has him charge behind the target and deliver a series of slashes. Meanwhile, his ultimate skill is known as “Apocalyptic Might” where he releases a series of slashes and finishes with a brutal strike.
Hunter Sung Il-Hwan can be obtained through Rate Up Draw. As part of the new Hunter added to the game, there’s also a Hunters’ Profile Icon, Dossier, Codex, and Bonds. Everyone can also enjoy the original story and Secret Library for Sung Il-Hwan.
New Exclusive Weapon
Added to the game along with Hunter Sung Il-Hwan is the exclusive weapon Unbreakable Will. This exclusive weapon can be obtained through crafting or events.
Solo Leveling: ARISE is based on the popular webtoon Solo Leveling. It promises fans an immersive journey through the world of their favorite characters. They get to take on the role of Sung Jinwoo, with the game chronicling his rise from the weakest hunter to becoming the world’s strongest. It delivers an experience that closely mirrors the original work.
One of the features that make the game stand out are the high-quality graphics that bring the webtoon to life. It offers a captivating narrative and references plotlines from the webtoon. At the same time, the game introduces new stories that's unique to the game and thus ensure an engaging experience for both seasoned fans and newcomers alike.
Meanwhile, the gameplay mechanics allow for a range of combat styles which are determined by the weapons and skills equipped. Solo Leveling: ARISE challenges the combat prowess of the players with mechanics such as Extreme Evasion and perfectly timed QTE skills that deal critical damage.
Solo Leveling: ARISE is available on mobile platforms through iOS and Android. The Steam version is now titled Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE.
