The Aerial Fortress Flies its Way to Myth of Empires

Xizhou Civilization has arrived in Myth of Empires. This new DLC comes packed with a lot of new content. One of these is the Aerial Fortress, a colossal airborne behemoth that reshapes the battlefield and is sure to be a decisive force when it comes to turning the tide of war.

While this meticulously crafted strategic weapon is indeed a threat, this airborne mobile platform is rather costly. Still, the fact that it can fly higher than a giant Kongming lantern gives it a big advantage in the fight since it allows for a commanding aerial view of the battlefield. It has a fortress defense level of 75 and combined with enhanced durability, truly lives up to the name Aerial Fortress. There are drawbacks of course. Its massive size means it moves relatively slowly. It also has limited maneuverability, which means difficulty in making quick turns.

A Real Threat

When it comes to functionality, the Aerial Fortress can support structures while also letting players equip it with different siege weapons. This include the likes of the Heavy Ballista, Mechanical Crossbow, Repeating Crossbow, and even Counterweight Trebuchet. While it is airborne, it can launch attacks on targets below. For balance reasons, the number of weapons that can be mounted is strictly limited.

Impact on Map

With a new DLC, that means there's a new map. In this one, the Yadan landforms are more than ready to be explored. These are towering wind-eroded pillars with broad tops and narrow bases. This makes it prime locations for guilds looking to establish a stronghold. Because of the way the terrain is, the location is pretty much almost inaccessible by land. Which means this is where the Aerial Fortress truly shines as a siege weapon.

In PVP mode, the arrival of the Aerial Fortress is sure to disrupt the traditional ground-based warfare. After all, its high-altitude assaults can strike deep into enemy territory and deliver those devastating blows that can completely reshape the battlefield dynamics.

Counter-Attack

While the Aerial Fortress does have a great advantage, it's not 100% unbeatable. A good way to counter it is to use watchtowers and even ballista. When attacks hit the balloon that's on top of the Aerial Fortress, it receives triple damage.

Excited to take the fight to the skies? The Aerial Fortress arrives in the game through the Xizhou Civilization DLC which you can read more here. There’s also a new competition with a chance to earn cash prizes and you can learn about it here.
