The Wilds of Talandre is now live in Throne and Liberty. This free expansion introduces a lot of new content to the game. That said, it's the largest update to date.

The main highlight of the expansion is the addition of Talandre, which doubles the map size of Solisium. That's not the only thing since players can also look forward to taking on five of the game's most challenging co-op dungeons. There's also a multi-boss solo dungeon experience for those who want to test their skills. Other new content include a new level cap increase to 55 and Tier 2 gear progression, new systems like Weapon Mastery and the Artifact system, Nebula Island, and trait resonance, to name a few.

In a statement, Amazon Games Globalization Design Manager Daniel Lafuente said that the expansion not only delivers new content but also introduces significant improvements to the game's core system. Lafuente also shared that to improve the player experience, they’ve implemented a lot of meaningful improvements.

Some of the changes players can expect include multi-chest opening in dungeons and flexible Weapon Mastery experience distribution. There’s also a new gear level syncing system along with streamlined crafting materials. Changed as well is the weekly mission system which now offers more player choice. Meanwhile, the field bosses have been transformed into instanced battles to allow for a more balanced playing field.

While the latest expansion serves as a major evolutionary moment for the game, Lafuente revealed that there’s more to come. The way players share their thoughts and their relationship with the development team has allowed for the game to evolve.

Throne and Liberty follow the story of a tumultuous world where players need to defeat the evil Kazar and ascend to the throne. They’ll also need to fight against other guilds who are also hoping to gain power for themselves. As the story progresses, it becomes clear that there is no linear path when it comes to victory. This means that players need to find their own way in the story.

There’s no question that the objective gameplay structure combined with the rich narrative allow for the game to be engaging and promising. Get Throne and Liberty for the PC via Steam now.
