New events are set to be introduced in Throne and Liberty. Starting November 17, Castle Siege events are going to be added. These are set to bring large-scale PvP battles that’s sure to push strategy and teamwork to the limits. What’s good about this is that guilds of all sizes can join.
Anyway, the event is all about a siege. Once it starts, guilds are given 45 minutes to get the victory. Attackers need to storm the castle, breach the fortified gates, and capture the throne room.
Attack or Defend
As the siege begins, guilds have 45 minutes to achieve victory. Attackers must storm the castle, breach its fortified gates, and capture the throne room. Defenders meanwhile are transported inside the castle and need to hold their ground. They’ll have to make use of every resource available at their disposal to try and repel the invaders. If the throne remains contested when the timer runs out, the siege goes to a three-minute overtime.
Siege Ruins
In these events, strategic locations like Siege Ruins play an important role. Those able to capture these ruins obtain teleportation and even resurrection points. However, it introduces something even better. Attackers who can get these are also able to summon powerful Siege Golems.
There are different types of golems like Stone Crasher, Battle Carrier, Gate Hammer, or Jump Attacker. Each one brings with them unique abilities to the battlefield like destroying the castle walls or transporting players over them.
Holding the Fort
Defenders have to learn the intricate layout of the castle. They’ll have to watch out for ambushes coming from the sewage system and need to operate gate levers as a way to control access points.
There’s what’s known as Pillage Stones and Resurrection Stones that are scattered across the battlefield which add another layer of strategy. That’s because they offer Defenders the chance to steal resources or reinforce their position.
Pillage Stone
As mentioned earlier, there’s what’s known as Pillage Stones. The thing is that any guild can capture Pillage Stones to snatch Sollant and Lucent from the castle vault. It’s possible to do it even if the reigning guild continues to have control of the throne. Then whoever claims the throne get doused in wealth and receive the prestigious title of Legion Guild.
