Amazon Games and NCSOFT announced that Throne and Liberty is launching this September 17. The game is going to be available for the PC, PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series X/S. This free-to-play MMORPG features massive-scale combat and set in a dynamic world. This release though is limited for now to the areas of North America, South America, Europe, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.
In a statement, Merv Lee Kwai of Amazon Games shared that they're excited to show everyone what they've been working on and experience it themselves when the game officially comes out.
Throne and Liberty offers a social experience with players being encouraged to engage with other players and even join guilds. Indeed, the interactions players have with guilds and alliances are integral to the game experience. In addition to the social experience, players can also join in Player vs. Environment battles and Player vs. Player fights. These include Castle Siege where thousands of players can join at once.
Experience an Open World
The game is set in a persistent open world known as Solisium. Here players can experience dynamic and interactive environments which can affect the gameplay in meaningful ways. Meanwhile, the unpredictable weather cycles have an impact how weapons perform and can even change the terrain to reveal new access points. As they explore the world, players can transform into creatures able to fly through the air or even take to the sea for rapid travel. Players can also morph into defeated bosses to turn the tide in battle.
Weapons Make the Role
One of the key features of the game is a class-free system where it is the weapons that decide the role of the players. They can even combine and configure two different weapons as a way to maximize strength, defense, and damage.
Open Beta
Amazon Games also announced that there’s going to be an Open Beta from July 18 to July 23. It’s available on all platforms as well as all supported regions. To sign up for the open beta, simply visit the game’s official website. The test gives players the chance to experience the game before the official launch. It’s also a way to get feedback from the community and shape the game.
