Early this month, RedBoon confirmed that the first DLC for Knock on the Coffin Lid is releasing April 4. The Nightmares of Millenis is set to introduce a lot of new content to the game.
The highlight of the upcoming DLC is the introduction of the Tarot mechanic. Tarot cards bring them unique challenges along with new stories and even special bosses. It's not only going to expand the world of the game but also conclude unfinished plotlines.
Each Tarot card in particular introduces a unique condition for the run. These conditions are either positive or negative and allow players to try different paths and event developments. It forces players to adapt and approach events differently. As mentioned, the cards also tell their own story. Whatever unfinished plotlines from the main campaign remaining unfold and conclude in this DLC. It leads heroes to new locations, new allies, and new battles.
Each Tarot card also comes with a special boss, some of whom can be glimpsed in the trailer here. Anyway, players who complete all the Tarot runs get to uncover the answers to all their questions. More importantly they see how the stories of Persival, Bjorn, and Vanadis end.
