Anti-Measures for Once Human to be Optimized in Upcoming Update

Developer Starry Studio gave a preview of what's coming to the RaidZone content for Once Human. This update is set to be released on August 28.

Back in July, we reported one of the issues the studio was fixing was cheating. They've shared that they are never going to tolerate not only cheats but also exploits or even other malicious acts. This is especially true for those that "undermine fair play and the player experience."

In a post, the studio shared that they've been working to address the cheating issues by releasing continuous upgrades to the monitoring system, reverse-tracing of external cheats, and iterative improvements to the game's AI detection models. To strengthen the anti-cheat measures further, optimizations are to be introduced with the upcoming update.

Increased Transparency

The first is to increase transparency on sanctioned accounts. Banned players on the current server of players are to be displayed in a marquee to ensure that cheaters have nowhere to hide. Meanwhile, character ban status is going to be displayed in the Friends list and search results. This should allow players to identify sanctioned accounts more easily.

Players Moderators

The studio also revealed that to allow players to contribute to maintaining fairness, they'll start recruiting player moderators soon via the community channels. As guardians of the gameplay experience, the moderators are expected to assist the development team in identifying and analyzing rule-breaking behavior.

Players who apply to be moderators and get approved receive an exclusive in-game Moderator Badge while also earning rewards. These include in-game items and limited merch—based on their contributions to game moderation. Recruitment details are planned to be released in an upcoming dev update.

In-game Reporting System

The studio also shared that they're working on comprehensive upgrades to the in-game reporting system. These include a streamlined reporting process, new violation categories, and improved progress tracking. The changes are scheduled for the September version update.
