Bellwright Invites You to a World of Beauty and Treachery

The land of Karvenia is a world where beauty exists side by side with treachery. It's place where you get to learn more about the secrets of your past and to become a hero in your own right. All of these is yours for the taking in Bellwright. Developed by Donkey Crew, it's currently available in early access on Steam.

You take on the role of someone who's been living in the shadows after being framed for the murder of the Prince and then sentenced to death by the Crown. After escaping an attempt on your life, you get your hands on the assassin's contract, but this raises more questions than answers. Were you just unlucky that you were framed or is there more to the story? To learn more about the answers, you head back to the very place that you've left. As you try and learn more about the secrets about your family, you get to lead a rebellion against the oppressive Sovereign of your homeland.

Conquer and Expand

In the game, you don't become a hero overnight. Instead, you'll need to work your way up from a small camp and all the way to leading the great rebellion. You'll have to improve the relations you have with the settlements while also growing your armies. It doesn't hurt to free the different regions from the Crown and strengthen your cause. You'll also get followers that have unique knowledge which can improve the technologies of your towns.

Manage Them Properly

As you free the various villages from the oppressive influence of the Crown, you'll need to build, manage, and even upgrade your own outposts and towns through the help of recruits. You'll have to organize workers while also training the strongest soldiers.

Go to Battle

In the game, you get to choose equipment from a wide range of medieval weapons and armor. That means swords and axes and even heavy mauls and polearms, and even bows. Be sure to hone your skill especially in directional combat.

You'll also have to lead armies into battle and command squads and formations. Be sure to make use of cunning tactics to your advantage. Equip and train troops and then control them on the battlefield to prove your skill and might.
