Get ready for a new adventure as Rogue Waters is now available on Steam. This pirate tactical and turn-based rogue-lite has players take on the role of Captain Cutter. They get to command a ship and crew as they fight to seek revenge on procedurally generated encounters. As part of the launch, the game is currently being offered at 20% for a limited period.

Going back to Captain Cutter, he's a pirate who's been caught in a deadly struggle for power and vengeance. He now has to navigate dangerous waters, release mythical sea creatures, and do what's needed to outwit enemies.

Getting the Crew

To help Captain Cutter in his revenge, he'll need to have his own pirate crew. After recruiting them, he has to discover their hidden potential in order to mold them into becoming the legendary pirates that they're destined to be. There's a total of six unique classes to choose from, each having distinct abilities and even playstyles.

To make the crew the best they can be, players can upgrade their skills after each run. Now the thing to remember is that damage continues across each run. That means they'll have to swap out crew member so that they have the time to heal. Be sure to take that into consideration.

The Creatures from the Deep

One interesting feature of the game is that players get to summon some cool sea creatures. Not just your typical seas creatures but legendary creatures that were once to be thought as myths. All players need to do is free them from captivity and then gain their trust.

For now, there are three creatures that players can summon which then help them in the boarding phase. There's the Kraken for example, which can crush nearby enemies. Then there is the Mermaid which is able to disrupt and push enemies in any direction. Finally, players can also summon the Giant Snail which can drop a deadly spiked obstacle on the deck.

What do you think? Do you have what it takes to go on an adventure and finish that revenge? Get Rogue Waters on Steam now.
