Frosthaven Makes Its Way to Steam Early Access this July 31

Snapshot Games announced that Frosthaven is releasing in early access on Steam this July 31. It's priced at $39.99 and to be offered with a 10% discount at launch for a limited period.

That's not all since the studio revealed in a post that they've partnered with Twins Sails Interactive to offer a bundle that not only has the game but also Gloomhaven.. This should give everyone the ultimate strategic board game digital adaptation experience.

Frosthaven is an evolution of the board game experience. This dark fantasy tactical RPG serves as a spiritual successor to Gloomhaven. Players can look forward to deep mechanics and the challenging yet immensely satisfying gameplay not only in Single Player but also Co-Op Online Multiplayer.

Seasoned veterans of the original board game or even those familiar with Gloomhaven are sure to feel right at home as they venture into the unforgiving and treacherous northern frontier of Frosthaven. Meanwhile, those new to the game can begin their first adventure with difficulty modes that's customized to their skill level. However, all players can enjoy the improved UX and quality-of-life features.

Early Access

For the early access, players can experience around one-third of the planned content coming out in the game's full 1.0 version. However, there are additional content and gameplay improvements that's planned to be added through game updates which are to be released three months from each other.

Content that's available at early access launch include:

single player and online co-op multiplayer modes along with NVIDIA GeForce NOW support

eight unique characters, which include six starting characters and two unlockable characters

more than 40 tactical quests, including in-depth tutorial missions

more than 100 choice-driven events

the ability for players to build their own Outpost

Unique Characters: Choose from six starting character classes which are the Banner Spear, Boneshaper, Drifter, Geminate, Blinkblade, and Deathwalker.
