Get ready for a one-of-a-kind life sim RPG as Cattails: Wildwood Story is now out on Steam. If you get the game now, you get to enjoy the 10% discount, which is being offered for a limited period. A Deluxe Edition is also available which adds the original soundtrack in addition to the base game.
In the game, you get to create their very own feline furry. They then get to roam across the lands of the Wildwood hunting for prey and foraging for herbs. At the same time, they'll need to attract new cats to be residents of their town. As they get to know more about the neighbors, there's the chance of falling in love and maybe raising a litter of kittens.
Be Your Own Feline
There's a lot of things to do in the game and one of these is hunting. Once you set your sights on a prey for example, make use of your acute sense of smell to track them. Approach carefully and then pounce before they're even aware of you. It may take some practice but once you get the hang of it, you're sure to have a meal that's waiting in the grass.
It's not all hunting of course since you can also spend time with others and make friends. Chat with them for a while or better yet give an extra item you have as a gift. Remember that you can make friends with all adult colony cats and even get to date them or even get married.
Build the Colony
In the game you'll need to build a colony and it starts with choosing where you want to place it. You can choose to live in a sandy beach, a dense pine forest, or even a mysterious swamp, to name a few. You can then customize the town and expand it to attract new residents.
It's not going to be easy since those Voidling Cats are going to appear in great numbers and challenge your new settlement. When this happens, you'll need to stand firm against this interminable flow of enemies. It may be difficult at the start but brave cats that are part of your colony are there to help.
