In case you didn't know, a new PvP event is launching to Throne and Liberty beginning November 17. Titled as Castle Siege, it's all about claiming the throne of defending it.
At its core, Castle Siege gives Attackers 45 minutes to try and capture the throne room. Today we'll take a deeper dive into how this event works.
Player Colors
Let's start with player colors. You see while the Siege is happening, the character names, guild marks, and outfit colors change. These are:
- Blue outfits: The guild mark for players in the same or friendly guilds turn blue.
- Red outfits: Other guilds have their guild marks displayed in red. Four random numbers are displayed in the format of ‘red1234’.
- Yellow outfits: The usurping guild are displayed as yellow.
There' are also special marks available with Guild leaders, Guardians, and Staff Officers having special icons next to their name.
Siege Ruins
One key feature of the event is Siege Ruins. There are four of them that are positioned just outside of the Outer Walls. Once captured, they become teleportation points and let attacking guilds summon destructive Siege Golems. By the way, the Legion Guild can't capture these points, so it means they have to trust their allies to handle them. The Siege Ruins need the guild ranks Leader, Advisor, or Guardian to capture.
Meet the Golems
Siege Golems are hulking weapons of destruction and can demolish walls and other players. To summon these Golems, players need Golem Slates. These can be purchased by Guilds from the Guild Supplies Merchant within their Guild Base. Each Golem works differently and can only be summoned from a captured Siege Ruin. These are:
- Stone Crashers: Can destroy walls, towers, and gates, and also help with picking enemies off the walls.
- Battle Carriers: Transport golems that can go up to a wall and allow a player to walk across.
- Gate Hammers: Ranged golems that can destroy gates, walls, and towers from a distance. They can also reduce damage for a short time.
- Jump Attackers: Deadly golems specialized in scaling walls and hunting enemies.
