Lies of P Director Jiwon Choi released a statement assuring everyone that work on the DLC is ongoing. This should be good news for those waiting on any news about new content coming to the game.
In Choi's letter, he starts by saying that despite experiencing what seems to be the hottest summer in Korea yet, they continued to work on the upcoming DLC for the game. He added that as the director, his goal has always been to create an enjoyable game. He went on to say that their source of motivation has been the "continuous support and love" of the players.
Choi revealed that they're currently working not only on the DLC but on the sequel for Lies of P. In this case, he went on to say that they want to do better on the things they did well and improve in areas where they have room to grow. It may sound simple but according to Choi, "sticking to the basics is anything but easy."
Hopefully, we’ll get more updates on the DLC soon.
Lies of P is set in a dark and gothic rendition of the classic fairytale Pinocchio. Players take on the role of a puppet-crafted protagonist who was crafted by the fictional craftsman Geppetto. They now have to navigate a brooding world which is filled with terrifying creatures and deceitful entities who are obstructing their path to uncover the truth of this reality.
The narrative takes place in the once bustling city of Krat that has now become a petrified landscape. It’s enslaved by a mysterious plague which has driven its inhabitants to madness and violence. The thematic aesthetic of the game is heavily inspired from the Belle Epoque era and grounds the game within a decadent period known for advances in art and creativity, with a uniquely macabre twist.
The game delivers a Soulslike genre experience and challenges players to adapt their gameplay and weaponry to confront a myriad of horror elements. The Legion Arms arsenal and newly introduced abilities allow for meticulously strategized dynamic weapon combinations which comes in handy during the battles with the horrific creatures haunting the city.
