A new update has been released for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. Patch v1.3.4 introduces a lot of new content to all players.
One of these is the addition of the Stealth and Disguise mechanics. These allow for power prison breaks along with new hideout scenes and even hostile town infiltrations. Guards now react to light, sound, and movement. Players can sneak, create distractions, eliminate targets quietly, and hide bodies. They can also put on a disguise that lets them scout and operate in hostile towns. However, be careful since suspicious actions can raise an alarm.
Alliances & Trade Agreements
The update results in common enemies bringing kingdoms closer to forming alliances. This encourages them to stand together against each other’s foes. Meanwhile, trade agreements can incentivize caravan traffic between partner kingdoms.
That's not all since each conflict is now evaluated across what can be described as a refined war progress score. The result is more logical declarations and outcomes and at the same time lowers the number of short wars.
Deserters & Patrol Parties
Another interesting change that arrives with the new update is that war now has additional consequences. Once a battle is over, fleeing survivors can regroup and turn into tougher roaming bands. To counter this, towns can build what’s known as Guard Houses. This results in patrol parties that protect villages, fight bandits, and even assist nearby battles.
Recruiting Notables
Players can now recruit notables to become supporters. These can be done through dialogue. Once players have enough relations and adding a one-time payment, these same nobles can now back their clan. However, once relations drop too low, they can withdraw the support given.
New Weapon
Players should also be happy to know that the new update also expands the arsenal in the form of Slings. Slings offer a fast ranged option and even have multiple ammo types. This should give players and certain troops a new way to pressure enemies at range.
Releasing alongside the new update is the new expansion War Sails. It introduces naval warfare to Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. Read more about it here.
