A new update has been released for The Riftbreaker and introduces a lot of exciting new content for everyone to enjoy. There are also some interesting reworks implemented on some of the systems.
Weapon System
The update introduces a rebalance on the entire weapons system of the game. The reason is to improve firepower scaling across the whole campaign. In particular, significant upgrades were made to weapons that were previously too weak. As a result, this should make more builds viable. There are also functional changes made to some of the weapons like the Laser and Root Gun.
The development team invited all players "to experiment with all of them." Read the complete details here.
Loot System
One change made by the update is that crafting isn't the only way of obtaining new gear. It's because it's now possible to find weapons, mech upgrades, and other useful items as loot from enemy creatures, Biocaches, and Bioanomalies. That's not all since there's also the potential to find more powerful items compared to what can be crafted.
In addition, as players complete research tree nodes, the lootable items also progress, which increases the pool of available items. Players may even find ones that exceed their current level of research, which should make things exciting. For those who are not satisfied with what they find, they can always disassemble the junk and enjoy the extra resources.

Research
All research items in the Story Campaign now require both time and resources. Adding a research item to the queue requires players to pay a one-time resource fee. This cost offsets the extra resources that players get during the new campaign. The Survival Research tree though remains unaffected. Learn more about it here.
The new update also introduces the co-op mode and the randomized mission generator. Check out the complete change here.
