It hasn't been long since the full version of Core Keeper was released. Since then, the game has been getting good news. Well, that hasn't stopped developer Pugstorm from continuing to work on improving the game.
Late last week, the studio gave us a peek into what's happening behind the scenes. For starters, the studio shared that they're happy for all the feedback and taking these bug reports seriously. They assured everyone that they're working to address them.
One of the issues are on the maps. It appears that there remains to be an issue with maps, particularly with it being intertwined after deleting and recreating worlds in the same slot. While a stability patch was released to partially address it, they'll continue to work further to solve this issue.
The studio also revealed that the Blacksmith skill is currently not working properly. The skill is supposed to decrease the number of ingredients needed to repair items and craft items in the anvil. However, what's happening is that the skill only decreases the amount that's visible in the crafting recipe while still using the original and non-discounted amount of said recipe.
Other issues being looked into include:
- The Cartography table is causing game crashes and is not conducive to exploration.
- The game crashes right after the intro cutscene and preventing Explorers from starting new adventures.
- Some placeable items are becoming invisible after the player dies or respawns.
- Some items are respawning when the player quits or enters the same world after being previously broken.
- Enemies are unintentionally spawning outside of enclosed rooms when their spawners are inside.
- Dodos aren't eating bugs/critters from the ground.
- Music Doors, and other doors, sometimes don’t work after being opened.
While it’s good to know that issues are being worked on, it’s also exciting to know that the game has reached a major milestone. Read more about it here.
