The Elder Scrolls Online Makes Changes to Reward Structuring of Imperial City

In case you didn't know, a lot of changes have been introduced to The Elder Scrolls Online courtesy of a new update. There's one made in Battlegrounds mode for example. Another is the revamp done for Imperial City.

Indeed, it seems that developer ZeniMax Online Studios has implemented a comprehensive reward restructuring for Imperial City. This was done as part of the major changes in how PvP item sets can be obtained. The first major callout is that both Imperial Keys and Imperial Key Fragments have been converted to a new account-wide currency being called as "Imperial Fragments". Keys and Key Fragments that are currently in the inventory are automatically converted. Going forward, enemies are now going to drop this new currency instead of either keys or key fragments. By the way, compared to Tel Var, players won't lose this currency on death.

Another major callout is vault doors not just in Imperial City but also its dungeons like Imperial City Prison and White-Gold Tower. What happens is that they won't be gated anymore by keys or key fragments. This means players can now freely enter vaults without needing to worry about fragment conversions or having keys. Once they get inside the vaults, there's going to be vendors rather than treasure chests. These vendors have many of the spoils that's usually found in vault chests along with additional item sets and even other collectibles. The sets are spread out across all the six vaults along with the two dungeons. Players need to make sure that they visit all vaults and get access to what they need. They'll need to use the new Imperial Fragments currency to get the items.

Then there’s also the change made for the Imperial City Sewers. The vendors there have also been restructured so that it not only makes more sense but also brought up to standards that matches those sets in previous updates. Read more about the changes made to Imperial City here.
