THE SLUMS 1.     Gate to New Phlan 2.     Goblins Lair 3.     Ohlo 4.     Man with Ohlo’s potion 5.     Kobolds Lair 6.     Gate to Kuto’s Well 7.     Treasure 8.     Hobgoblins Lair and Treasure 9.     Orcs Lair 10.  Gypsy 11.  Orc Guards 12.  Leaders Gathering 13.  Goblin Guards 14.  Treasure 15.  Trolls Lair This  sector  is  considered  cleared  when  you  empty  the  lairs,  all  the  rooms  and  after  15  random encounters. Here in the Slums you’ll encounter mainly orcs and goblins. Proceed carefully in each room and pay attention to the monster lairs because they’re particularly tough. “Sleep” spell works fine on these monsters so use it often. At 3 you can encounter the mage Ohlo that will send you on a sub-quest if you talk to him nicely. Go to 4 to retrieve his bottle (you must digit “OHLO” when the man asks you) and return it to the mage to earn some experience points and some treasure. A Gypsy (10) can tell your future if you pay but do not attack her in any case. The Trolls lair is very difficult at this point of the game so, if you’re not able to eradicate the threat, leave it for future times. There is some treasure scattered through this section. The most useful can be found at 14 and 7 (reached through an invisible wall). However, remember to use the “Search” command to explore these spots, and generally all the dungeons, or you’ll risk to miss something. When you’re finished with this section return to New Phlan to rest, sell your items and buy some better weapon and armor. Go to the training hall if you’ve earned enough experience to level up some character. Finally, visit the Council Clerk to receive your reward for clearing the Slums (even if you haven’t cleared the Trolls lair) and you’ll receive a new commission from her. You must clear Sokol Keep now, so when you’re ready, reach the passenger dock (17) and take the boat (18) to the Keep.
